The Minnesota Vikings defense has a very favorable matchup on Thursday night against the Washington Redskins offense. Let's break down three bold predictions for what the defense can accomplish.

3. Force Two Turnovers

The Vikings' defense is strong and this feels like a game where Case Keenum is going to force throws trying to make the big play. This is a revenge game for Keenum and he is going to try extra hard to have a big game. On the season, Keenum has four interceptions and after Sunday he will have five or six. Minnesota's defense has seven interceptions so far this year.

Adrian Peterson is also expected to be on the field on Thursday with his biggest weakness being fumbling the ball. The Vikings will be trying everything to get the ball out. He is also going to put one on the ground. It wouldn't be shocking if the Vikings actually ended the game with three or four turnovers.

2. Don't Give Up A Touchdown

So far this season, the Redskins are averaging only 12.6 points per game, which is 30th in the league. In their last five games, they haven't scored more than  17 points and that 17-point performance was against the Miami Dolphins. In two of the last four games, they haven't found the end zone.

The Vikings' defense hasn't looked as good the last couple of weeks, but they have faced good quarterbacks in Carson Wentz and Matthew Stafford.

The Vikings are going to be licking their chops going up against Keenum and they know they can keep the offense out of the end zone. They are going to want to make a statement in this game and that's exactly what they will do.

1. Give Up Less Than 85 Yards on the Ground

This is my favorite prediction and I have a lot of confidence that this is going to happen. The Vikings are giving up only 90 yards per game on the ground this season, which is seventh-best in the NFL. The Redskins are averaging only 84.7 yards per game on the ground and the Vikings are going to load the box.

The Vikings are going to get up early and force the Redskins to pass the ball if they want any chance to move the ball up and down the field.

It wouldn't be shocking if the Redskins finish with less than 60 yards on the ground in this game.
