Both the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies are trying to run down the New York Mets in the NL East as August approaches. The clubs are both 4 games back and as the trade deadline approaches, they'll have to decide whether to buy, sell, or stay put as is.

On the field, the Braves and Phillies are doing battle in a four game set in Philly. On Thursday night, between innings, the teams decided to “size up” two players, one from either side.

The battle took place as Ozzie Albies of the Braves was pitted against Ronald Torreyes of the Phillies. Jean Segura had the two turn their back to one another as they matched up to see who was taller. In the video, you can see the two Atlanta players watching this unfold celebrate as they come to the realization that Albies is just a bit taller than Torreyes. Segura looked hilariously dejected by the discovery.

On the field, the Braves got six strong innings from righty Charlie Morton as they cruised to a 7-2 victory. The win put Atlanta at 47-48 and also dropped the Phillies to that same record. Morton's name has been a popular one brought up in trade speculation, if Atlanta opts to sell at the MLB Trade Deadline.

Without Ronald Acuna Jr., who went down with a torn ACL earlier in July, the Braves are left with a huge vacancy at the top of their lineup. They will try to somewhat fill it with Joc Pederson, who they acquired from the Cubs shortly after Acuna Jr. went down for the year.

For now, the score in size up battles reads: Braves 1, Phillies 0.
