The Colorado Rockies will host the Texas Rangers for the finale of a three-game set. It’s time to continue our MLB odds series and make a Rangers-Rockies prediction and pick.

Colorado will look to complete the three-game sweep as they've won the first two games by a combined four runs. The Rockies have gotten brilliant outings from their starters to open the series and will look for another in the finale. Texas has struggled to get anything going offensively and will need to wake up the bats if they want to salvage the series.

Here’s how sportsbooks have set the opening Rangers-Rockies odds.

MLB Odds: Rangers-Rockies Odds

Texas Rangers +1.5 (-175)

Colorado Rockies -1.5 (+155)

Over 10.5 Runs (-110)

Under 10.5 Runs (-110)

Why The Rangers Could Cover The Spread

The Texas Rangers are currently on an eight-game losing streak and have looked awful through the first two games of this series. The Rangers managed to score three runs on seven hits in the second game, which isn't going to win them a whole lot of ballgames. These numbers aren't necessarily surprising as the Rangers average just 3.98 runs per game, which is good for 20th in the league. Texas hasn't been very good on the road either. They are 9-22 through their first 31 games away from home this season.

The Texas Rangers will turn to Mike Foltynewicz for the finale. Foltynewicz has been nothing short of horrible this season. He is 1-5 with a 4.31 ERA through the first two months of the regular season. One thing he does have going for him is his success in day games. The Rangers right-hander has a 3.00 ERA in day games this season. Foltynewicz has looked better of late as well with back-to-back seven inning outings against the Astros and the Mariners. His main fault is that he rarely strikes batters out and if he can get a few more swings and misses against the Rockies, he's capable of delivering another seven inning outing for his club.

Why The Rockies Could Cover The Spread

Unlike the Rangers, the Colorado Rockies are actually playing solid baseball lately. They are currently on a three-game winning streak and have won the first two games of this series. The Rockies put up six runs on 12 hits in their victory over the Rangers on Wednesday night. Colorado has seen a ton of success at home this season with wins in 18 of their first 30 games at Coors Field. The Rockies are currently on a five-game winning streak at home as well.

The Rockies will turn to left-hander Austin Gomber as they look to complete the sweep. Gomber has gone through his struggles this season with a 3-5 record and 4.55 ERA. The southpaw has shown dominant flashes at times, though. He went eight innings and allowed just two earned runs against the Mets on May 24th. Gomber is coming off of a loss in his last start and will make his first career start against the Rangers in the finale.

Final Rangers-Rockies Prediction & Pick

These teams are going down completely different paths right now and it would be shocking to see the Rockies drop the finale at Coors Field. They have been playing very well in the Mile High State and get one more look at the reeling Rangers. The disparity on the offensive end is what really separates these two clubs. Colorado is on a three-game winning streak and Texas is on an eight-game losing streak. Give me the Rockies to win this game with great value.
