Following the success of this year's edition of the Slam Dunk Contest, the fans are already looking forward to Oklahoma City Thunder stud Hamidou Diallo defending his title next season. There have been many names thrown in as potential challengers to the throne, and one such contender is Utah Jazz sophomore sensation Donovan Mitchell.

The Jazz star took to Twitter to announce his intention to participate in next season's Dunk Contest, but with one huge condition. According to Mitchell, he will only suit up for the high-flying contest if Milwaukee Bucks All-Star captain Giannis Antetokounmpo decides to do the same:

Giannis recently asked his supporters if they'd like to see him in next year's contest, and having come across the tweet, Donovan Mitchell practically challenged Antetokounmpo to battle in the 2020 iteration of the event. These are definitely two of the most prolific dunkers we have in the game today, but surely, they would need to bring their “A” game if they hope to challenge Diallo and his high-flying act.

Both Mitchell and Antetekounmpo were prominent figures in the recently concluded All-Star Weekend.

Mitchell helped Team USA to a 161-144 victory against Team World in the Rising Stars challenge on Friday, with 20 points (on 8-of-13 shooting), three 3-pointers, seven rebounds, nine assists, five steals, and a block.

As for Giannis Antetekounmpo, he was an absolute beast on Sunday, leading the way for Team Giannis with a game-high 38 points on an amazing 17-of-23 from the field. While the Bucks star did also add on a couple of treys, 11 rebounds, five assists, and a steal, it was all in vain as Team LeBron emerged victorious in this season's edition of the All-Star Game, 178-164.
