Potential 2020 NBA Draft lottery pick Cole Anthony admits it would be cool to play for the New York Knicks next season.

Anthony is from New York. He's the son of former NBA guard Greg Anthony, who played 11 seasons in the league before becoming a TV commentator for NBA TV and Turner Sports.

Cole is one of the most explosive players in this draft. He talked with Zach Braziller of the New York Post about the possibility of playing for his hometown Knicks.

“It would be pretty cool,” Cole Anthony said about playing in New York. “I was a fan for a good amount of time. I do like the Knicks. I think they definitely can use a guard, a good scoring point guard. If that happens, it would be pretty cool to play in front of my little brother.”

Anthony averaged 18.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 22 games for UNC this season before play was suspended due to COVID-19.

Cole shot 38.0 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from deep and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line in college. He underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in December after partially tearing his meniscus, but he played well after coming back — averaging 17.5 points and 4.5 assists while shooting 41.4 percent from the floor and 36 percent from beyond the arc over his final 11 games.

The Knicks have been a walking disaster for years under the ownership of James Dolan. New York did hire former CAA agent Leon Rose as its new president of basketball operations though, so fans are praying Dolan will stay out of the way and let Rose and his team do their job.
