Minnesota Timberwolves big man Taj Gibson is going to have multiple teams pursuing him once free agency starts on Sunday.

According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP, the Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, Portland Trail Blazers, Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers all have interest in signing Gibson.

This past season with the Timberwolves, Taj Gibson averaged 10.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists while shooting 56.6 percent from the field, 32.4 percent from beyond the arc and 75.7 percent from the free-throw line. The veteran big man is one of the most respected guys in the league.

Now that Tom Thibodeau is no longer in Minnesota, Gibson might look to leave the Timberwolves and join a contender. Taj made $14 million this past season. He began his career with the Bulls. Gibson, though, is probably looking to join a playoff team and championship contender at this stage of his NBA career.

It looks like the “Timberbulls” will no longer be occupied in Minnesota. At one point last season, the Timberwolves had Thibodeau, Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Luol Deng and Gibson on the team. All five guys were on the Bulls together at one point.
