The Washington Wizards are set to enter into 2019 free agency without a full-time general manager, but the team is still making moves and preparing for more big decisions coming their way.

According to a story by Chase Hughes of NBC Sports, the team’s starting point guard in 2018-19, Tomas Satoransky, can expect to get a plethora of offers from teams in restricted free agency. The Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers, Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics are among the teams interested in his services.

Sato is a restricted free agent after Washington sent a qualifying offer his way earlier this week, giving the team an opportunity to match any offer sheets he signs with another team. His qualifying offer is worth nearly $4 million.

As outlined by Hughes in his NBC Sports story, a variety of teams will be looking for help at backup point guard, and the guard situation in free agency in general is one that should be of note for Satoransky and his agent.

The 27-year-old Czech Republic native had the best season of his NBA career in 2018-19 filling in for the injured John Wall as the team’s starting point guard for much of the season. Though Bradley Beal understandably got most of the shine due to his all-encompassing scoring brilliance, Satoransky provided some low-usage, high-assist minutes as the team’s point guard, while also connecting on 39.5 percent of triples.
