Amar'e Stoudemire is eyeing an NBA comeback and believes that he has ‘a lot to offer' from a leadership perspective.

The 36-year-old forward, known for his stint with the Phoenix Suns with Steve Nash, reveals that his body is in tiptop shape for an NBA return. But more than offering his 6-foot-10 athletic frame and rejuvenated health, Stoudemire intends to provide guidance and leadership for the young players.

“A lot of the teams have a lot of young players and a lot of players that can learn how to train, how to become professionals and how to become great basketball players. And leadership goes a long way with teams in order to get from a playoff team to a contending championship team,” Stoudemire said, per Marc Berman of the New York Post.

“From that standpoint, I have a lot to offer. And also as a basketball player, I still have a lot of game left. I can help a team in any way they need.”

Reports reveal that Stoudemire, a six-time NBA All-Star, has worked out with 15 teams with hopes of receiving a training camp invite. Knicks owner James Dolan — who has a great relationship with Stoudemire — was reportedly at one of the workouts.

Fans of the forward should keep their eyes peeled if his comeback comes into fruition or not. No one can expect to see the Stat of old, but his wealth of basketball and life experience will be of value to any team which accommodates him.
