Presidental candidate Joe Biden is all-in on the Milwaukee Bucks and the rest of the NBA players' decision to strike on Wednesday and Thursday, leading to postponements of playoff games.

The strike was sparked by the decision of the Bucks to sit out Game 5 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. A shocking move that caused a domino effect in the NBA, as well as other professional leagues, to strike and take a stand against the killing of Jacob Blake last Sunday. The former vice president, who will be running for president this year as the Democratic Party nominee, took to Twitter to show his support for the Bucks as well as the association.

“This moment demands moral leadership.” Biden tweeted about the NBA community. “And these players answered by standing up, speaking out, and using their platform for good.”

This is a far cry from what current President Donald Trump's statement was on the NBA players' strike.

“Now is not the time for silence,” he added.

Included in Biden's tweet is the full statement of the Bucks, led by guards George Hill and Sterling Brown, who shed light on their decision to strike and not play Wednesday's NBA playoff game.

“Over the last few days in our home state of Wisconsin, we've seen the horrendous video of Jacob Blake being shot in the back seven times by a police officer in Kenosha, and the additional shooting of protestors,” said the Bucks' official statement read by Brown (h/t sportingnews.com). “Despite the overwhelming plea for change, there has been no action, so our focus today cannot be on basketball.”

Following the Bucks' decision to walk out on their match-up, the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers as well as the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder all continued the NBA strike during the playoffs, an unprecedented move in league history.
