Houston Rockets star James Harden and Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell have been named Players of the Week for their respective conferences:

James Harden is in the middle of a historic run.
He has scored 30 or more points in 19 consecutive games dating back to Dec. 13, when he exploded for 50 points in a win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
During this run, he has scored 40 points 12 times and 50 points three times, including a pair of back-to-back 50-point performances last week when he dropped 57 and 58, respectively, on the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets.
In the month of January, Harden is averaging an insane 44.4 points, 8.9 assists, 8.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.1 blocks over 39.6 minutes per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the floor, 35.0 percent from 3-point range and 90.4 percent from the free-throw line.
He has also put together seven straight double-digit free-throw games, topping out at 23 foul shots in the Rockets' loss to the Nets last Wednesday.
Russell has been playing very well himself of late, most recently dropping 40 points in a 117-115 win over the Orlando Magic on Friday. Amazingly enough, Russell did not attempt a single free throw in the outing, going 16-of-25 from the floor and draining eight 3-pointers.
In the month of January overall, Russell is registering 23.2 points, 7.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds across 30.9 minutes a night while making 50.3 percent of his field goal attempts, 43.8 percent of his long-distance tries and 92.9 percent of his foul shots.
The Nets have also been playing surprisingly well, having gone 16-5 since their 8-18 start. They entered Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings winners of three straight.
