When people have success, they sometimes do stuff on a whim. Fathers buy their kids new pets after getting promoted at work. Some treat his friends to rounds of alcohol after learning they passed the board exams. Most of the time, these whims come with good intentions attached to them.

For NC State Wolfpack defensive end Bradley Chubb, his idea of celebrating his team’s 27-21 upset win over No. 12 Florida State Seminoles on Saturday include spitting on the Seminoles’ logo in the middle of the field. That's a strange whim.

Maybe Chubb thought he wouldn't get caught doing the disrespectful act with people running on the field from every direction, but he must have also forgotten that it’s no longer the 1920s and that cameras are a thing. Not to mention a thing called the internet does exist.

In any case, it’s an unfortunate way for Chubb to end the game, as he played well against FSU, recording seven tackles and a pair of sacks.

For what it’s worth, Chubb has already conveyed his apologies to Jimbo Fisher and the ‘Noles via the Wolfpack’s official Twitter account, implying that he was just overrun with emotions, with the part of his brain that watches over his decorum temporarily failed to function.

Chubb’s’ action added more salt to the wound of the Seminoles, who are now 0-2 to start the season for the first time since 1989. The Wolfpack, on the other hand, are 4-1 so far.

Also, Bradley Chubb was lucky that Florida State's logo didn’t come out alive and retaliate by spearing him right in the eye.

Big win for NC State, nevertheless.
