It's official. Ben Simmons is now part of the Brooklyn Nets and on Monday, the former Rookie of the Year made his first on-court appearance for his new team.

The Nets' official Twitter account shared a brief video of Simmons in full team gear in his first practice session with his new squad:

I have to admit, Ben looks good in Brooklyn black. It's also awesome to see him dapping up Kevin Durant here. You can also see Simmons struggling to conceal his smile after his encounter with KD. Clearly, the 25-year-old is more than happy to have joined the Nets.

As of the moment, however, it remains to be seen when Simmons will actually make his debut for Brooklyn. He hasn't played a single game this season and conditioning will be a concern for him early on. He does not appear to be nursing any injuries, though, apart from the mental health issues that held him back from suiting up for the Philadelphia 76ers prior to the trade.

The Nets will be cautious in bringing Simmons back into the fold, but with how this team has been struggling of late—and with KD still injured—it would not be surprising if he makes his debut sooner rather than later.
