The Brooklyn Nets had a rather disappointing 2020-21 season, and part of their failure was because of injuries to key players like Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden. With that said, they are now doing their best to avoid such issues from happening again.

According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, the Nets are searching for a Head of Performance Therapy. It is important to note that the said position is a newly created one, likely because of the string of  injuries the team faced over the past season. With KD, Kyrie and James all under contract until 2022-23, Brooklyn seems to be aiming to maximize their full potential by making sure they stay healthy throughout the regular season and playoffs.

The Nets' Big 3 barely played together during the 2020-21 regular campaign due to injuries, and while they were hard to beat when they were together in the postseason, it didn't last long.

Kevin Durant was the only member of the three-headed dragon that survived the injury bug, with James Harden first falling down to a hamstring injury. Harden suffered the injury in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals and missed the succeeding three games, while Irving sustained an ankle injury in Game 4 of the same series.

Brooklyn simply lacked the manpower to put up a fight against the Milwaukee Bucks despite Durant's heroics, eventually losing in seven games for another frustrating playoffs exit.

Moreover, it is worth noting that the Nets had it worst when it comes to injuries during the past season.

It is unknown if the Nets already have a target for their Head of Performance Therapy position, but it is certainly a significant step for the franchise in their bid to win the NBA title.
