Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash has expressed his desire to give Caris LeVert a Manu Ginobili-type role by coming off the bench. While most players aren't fond of being part of the second unit, LeVert has expressed his belief that he has the tools to play any type of role.

LeVert tagged his versatility as one of his main assets. He claimed that this quality will allow him to adjust to whatever role he's given—whether coming off the bench or starting alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

“I feel like with my game I’m kind of versatile. I can play with the ball, play without the ball. Start, come off the bench, whatever it may be. I feel like I can adjust, and I can play pretty much any role that I’m put in,” Caris LeVert told Nets reporters in a conference call on Tuesday, per Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News. “For me, I’m just excited to get out there and contribute to wins in any way possible. If that’s starting, if that’s coming off the bench, Steve and I will talk more about it. I think everyone’s main goal right now is winning basketball games and putting us in the best position to do so.”

Nash himself noted that he's still unsure if he plans to give LeVert that bench role.

To recall, Manu Ginobili spent a chunk of his career coming off the bench for Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs. He would lead the second unit until Tim Duncan and Tony Parker returns, and come the fourth quarter, Ginobili would return again to close the game out.

For what it's worth, Nash has a good problem in his hands. With the kind of depth the Nets have, it's easy to see why they are being tagged as title contenders ahead of the new season.
