While a lot of star players have complained about the NBA's new Wilson ball and how it is affecting the game, Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is different. In fact, according to him, it's not affecting his performance at all.

On Friday, Durant was asked whether the new Wilson balls are affecting his scoring, much like how it has made life hard for players like Paul George, Joel Embiid and Damian Lillard. To recall, PG13 argued that it is the reason why he and several stars have low shooting percentage — noting that it doesn't have the same softness and touch as the old Spalding ball. Embiid agreed and added that he is still not totally comfortable with it.

As mentioned, though, Durant hasn't had the same experience as the other players.

“For me, it just feel the same,” the Nets star said on the Wilson balls, per Matt Brooks of Nets Daily.

Kevin Durant is not lying with his statement. He is averaging 28.3 points per game this 2021-22 season, which is better than his 27.0 career scoring average and 26.9 points per game in 2020-21. Simply put, whatever the ball is, it won't stop the Nets superstar from scoring.

The two-time champion and one-time MVP is not downplaying the complaints of other players, though. By the looks of it, he has just adjusted faster than anyone else — which is not a surprising development since he is considered one of the best scorers in the history of the NBA.
