Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has never shied away from responding to the common fan on social media.

Durant was back at it again on Sunday, clapping right back to a fan who called him a “weirdo” on Twitter for apparently following his girlfriend on Instagram.

It would seem KD is keeping the same energy, both on and off the floor.

The former MVP has not suited up for the Nets this season as he continues to rehab from a ruptured Achilles he suffered in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

There were rumors Durant might be made available for the NBA restart, but both he and agent Rich Kleiman consistently denied any suggestion he was prepared to return.

Nonetheless, Durant's name has been mentioned aplenty in the rumor mill.

Some insiders suggested both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were playing a role in Brooklyn's plans to bid for a third star. There are also questions as to how the Nets will go about hiring a new head coach, and whether Durant's preferences will factor into the decision.

Regardless, it is clear the Nets will need a healthy Durant in order to contend for a title in the coming years.

The 31-year-old continues to wow with his scoring abilities whenever he is on the floor. Despite their differences in Golden State, current Warriors forward Draymond Green called Durant the “best scorer ever” and even added that no one is “even close.”

The Nets will hope KD can help them realize their championship aspirations. For now, he will continue to engage with fans on Twitter.
