Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie won't be returning to the court this season after partially tearing his ACL last week. While it certainly comes as a blow to the Nets' impressive depth that they started to showcase, that hasn't stopped Dinwiddie from planning for next season.

After only six days of being diagnosed with the ACL tear, Dinwiddie apparently isn't wasting any time with his rehab process. The 6-foot-5 Nets guard took to his Instagram to show his rehab process so far, which appears to have him in great spirits so far.

Dinwiddie tore his ACL on Dec. 27 against the Charlotte Hornets. He recorded five points while going 2-for-4 from the field with four rebounds and three assists before exiting the game in the third quarter with what was initially reported as a knee strain.

While Dinwiddie was set to play a lesser role this season with both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant returning in full form, he was able to still thrive through his first few games with the duo. The Nets will now continue to find someone to fill the role that's left behind by Dinwiddie as a secondary floor general outside of Irving.

Dinwiddie's coming off a productive 2019-20 season as well. In the absence of Nets co-stars Irving and Durant, Dinwiddie averaged 20.6 points, 6.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game through 64 games.

There's still a bit of speculation as to if Dinwiddie may have played his last game as a Brooklyn Net. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent in the 2021 offseason and will demand quite a lot of attention in the free agency market.
