According to recent reports, Kyrie Irving may suit back up on Wednesday when the Brooklyn Nets face the Cleveland Cavaliers. Aware of his impending return, head coach Steve Nash laid out his plans for Irving and the rest of his squad.

Per the Associated Press via ESPN, Nash intends to review some game film and the playbook on Tuesday. Since Irving may be rusty after a long layoff, he'll ask the guard to put in some extra work.

Nash said the Nets would do little more than watch film and walk through some plays on Tuesday, but would try to have Irving work out on the court against some teammates to improve his conditioning after his layoff.

Kyrie Irving's absence started on Jan. 7 when the Nets faced the Philadelphia 76ers. Reports revealed that it was due to “personal reasons”–with Nash admitting that he, too, was caught off guard by Irving's choice.

During his absence, the Nets star was spotted partying with friends and family members without a mask on, a clear violation of the NBA's health and safety protocols. As such, his absence was extended to more games, per the league's quarantine mandate.

While the Nets are handling Irving's situation, they managed to land James Harden in a three-team deal, effectively turning the franchise into a true powerhouse squad. While many are excited about Kyrie's return, some are also wondering if he'll be a boon or a bane to Nash's system. There's no question about Irving's offensive prowess, but his antics as of late might affect the team's chemistry.
