Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash said that he spent time on Monday and Tuesday with his close friend and former Mavs teammate Dirk Nowitzki.

When asked what he thinks about Dirk's jersey retirement coming up, Nash responded,

“I'm kind of tired of all the accolades, to be honest”

This is clearly just a joke to his good friend Dirk. Nash and Dirk have been good friends since they were both in the league at the same time for most of their careers. Both of them had successful careers and are two of the best to ever play the game.

Nash is currently taking on the Dallas Mavericks as the Nets are currently losing 80-70 into the third quarter. Brooklyn is 16-7 on the season but has not had much success against teams who are title contenders. Both Kevin Durant and Steve Nash have come out and said that the Nets have not beaten anybody who they felt are title contenders this season. This is something to be somewhat concerned about for the Nets as they are looking to win an NBA title this season.

Unless Brooklyn drastically turns their season around and can start beating some worthy opponents, it might be another disappointing season for the Nets. There's also a chance that they decide to part ways with Steve Nash as there's simply too much talent on the roster for them not to win an NBA title.
