Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has found a supporter in his former head coach Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh, who knows coaches as the head coach at the University of Michigan, spoke very highly of Kaepernick and thinks that any coach would be lucky to have him.

NBC Sports PFT reports that Harbaugh had nothing but kind words for the free agent QB. He shared this during an interview with ESPN.

“My personal opinion and really advice to NFL teams is, there’s only one way to answer these questions, one way to find out, and that’s Colin signs somewhere,” Harbaugh said. “My advice is he’d be worth your time and that NFL team will be very happy.”

The former 49ers coach also said that he knows a lot of NFL coaches have questions about Kaepernick's ability to return to form. But the only way to find out is for them to bring him in.

Harbaugh and Kaepernick were in the trenches together when both were still employed with the NFL. They made it all the way to the Super Bowl once upon a time, and that experience was not lost on coach Jim Harbaugh. He made clear that he has high regard for Kaepernick as both a player and a person.

“Colin Kaepernick is a friend, he’s a brother, he’s a great teammate. I love Colin,” Harbaugh said. “I think he’s an unbelievably talented football player.”

Kaepernick remains unsigned, despite all his attempts to show everyone that he's still in prime football condition. A number of players and sports personalities believe that it's the sacrifice he had to make when he stood up for his social justice causes.

Colin is now 32 years old and hasn't tossed a football during actual NFL action since the 2016 season. But if you ask his former coach, he should definitely be on a team.
