Former NFL running back OJ Simpson was released from a Nevada state prison in Oct. 2017, and ever since, “Juice” has been a big tweeter. Recently, Simpson, 73, took to social media to share his trademark videos (he seldom ever tweets something that isn't a video) to dispense wisdom for former President Donald Trump, whose ongoing impeachment trial has gripped Simpson.

“A couple of my friends asked me, ‘Why haven't we heard from Donald?'

“I've had some of the best lawyers in the world. And the one thing they made clear to me, any time you have any criminal liability, you should just shut up and be quiet. And I assume because of that advice … has Donald doing what he should be doing.”

Simpson was charged with the murders of former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in one of the most publicized criminal trials in the history of the country as well as celebrity. In Oct. 1995, after a nearly year-long trial in Los Angeles, Simpson was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. During the entirety of the trial and the media circus, Simpson kept his mouth shut, letting his wide array of high-profile attorneys handle the matter in court and outside of the trial.

In the video OJ Simpson posted on Thursday, the former Buffalo Bills 2,000-yard rusher also admitted to agreeing with former President Trump's attack on the “fake media,” claiming he shares being a “victim” of it.

Trump, despite being out of office, is currently being impeached for the second time—the first time the same president (or former president) has ever been impeached twice. Previously, Trump joined Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton as the only presidents to be impeached.
