Earlier this week, the Denver Nuggets agreed to terms on a four-year, $84 million with fourth-year guard Gary Harris.

According to a team press release, the 23-year-old has voiced much excitement about the opportunity to play for the Nuggets over the duration of the next four seasons.

“I’m happy, I’m excited,” Harris said. “I finally got it signed, all set, ready to go, four more years. Love the team, love the organization, love the city. So I couldn’t be happier.”

Harris has become one of the core pieces of the team over his first few years in the league as he's coming off his best individual season where he averaged career highs across the board with 14.9 points on 50.2 percent from the field with 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. He also placed inside the top 10 in three-point percentage (42.0).

He has become one of their dependable scoring options that is a major part of the team's future and is part of a young and talented backcourt that also features second-year guard Jamal Murray, Will Barton, and Emmanuel Mudiay.

With Harris under contract, the Nuggets may shift their focus to get promising big man Nikola Jokic, who is under a long-term deal as he's set to enter the final year of his three-year, $4 million rookie deal. It also holds a $1.6 million club option for the 2018-19 season.
