The imminent combination of two gifted passing big men in Nikola Jokic and new acquisition Paul Millsap has been a dream in the making for Denver Nuggets fans, but an underrated pairing that could make some shockwaves in the West is that of two stars on the rise in Jokic and shooting guard Gary Harris.

Harris was only the 34th player in NBA history to average at least 14 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 steal, and 1.5 threes made per game before turning 23 years of age, via Frank Urbina of HoopsHype.

Jokic had the seventh-most efficient sophomore season in the history of the league (per Andrew Bailey of FanRag Sports) after dethroning Jusuf Nurkic of his starting center spot. He posted 16.7 points per game on 57.8 percent shooting from the floor and 82.5 percent from the stripe, all while throwing 9.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 blocks per game into his impressive line.

The two youngsters can create a dynamic that is sure to last for a long time, as Denver has refused to include either in any trade conversations and hopes to keep the two as a part of this team's core.

Harris fits the three-and-D mold to perfection while Jokic is the very evolution of the modern European big man that can do it all; shoot, rebound, score down low, and play enough defense to keep his team in the game.

As their perimeter game continues to evolve, the pair can soon become a tandem to complement and work off each other's game for a long time, as the only two starters with any plans of longevity as it stands now.
