Playing shorthanded, especially in their frontcourt, Gary Harris knew he needed to step up his game on Saturday to lift the Denver Nuggets at home versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Like how he has done throughout the season so far, he played at a high level once again on the night, and made a number of big plays to give his team the victory, 115-100.

The 23-year-old Michigan State product finished the match with 13 points, two rebounds, six assists, and four steals, including a highlight reel-worthy play in the third quarter.

With 8:42 left, Harris drove strong to the basket but was met by Larry Nance Jr., who was ready to block his shot. However, the Nuggets guard's athleticism was in full display as he completed a 360-degree spin to get past the defender in mid-air, finishing with the smooth-as-silk finger roll.

The win improved the Nuggets' record to 13-9 for the season, despite playing without two of their starters, Paul Millsap and Nikola Jokic. Gary Harris is proving that together with Jamal Murray, Will Barton, and the rest of his teammates, they can carry the load, and will the team to more victories.

The Nuggets will look to extend their winning streak to three games on Monday, when they take on the Dallas Mavericks.
