Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone was in an understandably jovial mood inside the team dressing room following his team's amazing Game 7 victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. So much so, that Malone decided to take a shot at his own player, Torrey Craig, during his post-game speech.

As Malone was delivering his congratulatory message for his players, he could not help but call out Craig for missing a wide-open layup in the dying moments of the game:

It's funny now, but that botched layup could have literally sent the Nuggets packing. The Jazz was able to secure the rebound after Torrey Craig's incredible miss, which allowed Utah to have one final shot at the buzzer. Fortunately for Craig and the Nuggets, Mike Conley missed his long-distance heave, as Denver escaped with a series-clinching 80-78 victory on the evening.

All jokes aside, though, Denver made history on Tuesday after coming from behind 3-1 in this series against an extremely determined Jazz side. The Nuggets upset the odds, and they have just booked their place in the second round.

As Malone said, however, this team still has a lot of work to do. They will be back in action again on Thursday to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. LA is going to be the favorites to come out of that series, but as we have just witnessed in the first round, the Nuggets are more than capable of pulling off an upset.
