After Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray put Tyus Jones a poster earlier in Saturday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Will Barton decided he wanted to outdo his teammate.

Jerami Grant tried to drive on Jaren Jackson Jr. With strong defense, Jackson forced the miss. With the ball coming off the rim, 6-foot-6 Barton rose up for the strong putback slam.

In his sixth season with the Nuggets, Barton has stepped into the role as the team's full-time starting small forward. Playing nearly 33 minutes per game, the former second-round pick is putting up 14.4 points, 3.4 assists and a career-high 7.0 rebounds per game.

In their 119-110 win over the Grizzlies, Barton finished with 20 points, six rebounds and seven assists in 36 minutes of action.

Barton has clearly developed a strong offensive game throughout his career, serving up a mix of high-flying dunks and 3-point shooting. This year, the former Memphis star is shooting a career-high 39.3 percent from beyond the arc on 8.0 attempts per game.

It remains to be seen if Barton can keep up the production with the Nuggets, but he has not shown any sign that he can't do it.
