The Green Bay Packers turned a lot of heads with their decision to take Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the NFL Draft back in April.

Not only did the Packers select Love, but they traded up to grab him.

Considering that Aaron Rodgers is currently under center for Green Bay and that the club has a pretty clear need at wide receiver, the Packers' choice of Love was puzzling to most.

Packers star running back Aaron Jones was asked about his reaction to the Love pick on Wednesday.

“I really didn't have a reaction,” Jones said on ESPN. “I know it's the NFL. They're bringing in guys to compete every day. But, he (Love) doesn't have any control over where he's going, so we're happy to have him there and A-Rod's gonna teach him a lot and take him under his wing and teach him everything he needs to know about the NFL and about the league and reading different coverages and things like that.”

Rodgers is coming off of a 2019-20 campaign in which he threw for 4,002 yards, 26 touchdowns, and four interceptions while completing 62 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 95.4 en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Good numbers? Sure, but they are not quite what we are accustomed to seeing from the Packers superstar, who is now 36 years old.

Still, given that the Packers made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game this past year, their decision to essentially punt on receiving help in the draft is certainly peculiar, to say the least.
