Green Bay Packers rookie quarterback Jordan Love has earned a 71 overall rating in the upcoming game Madden 21.

Love is the third-highest rated rookie quarterback, trailing Joe Burrow (78) and Tua Tagovailoa (73). Furthermore, Love has a higher overall rating than Justin Herbert (70), the sixth overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Despite being the third-highest rated rookie quarterback, Love is not happy. In a recent video with Hall of Famer Steve Young, Love was hoping his overall rating would be an 81, but Young revealed it to be only a 71. Since Love might not get a lot of playing time this season, a 71 overall rating seems just right for him.

Love also has a rating of 81 speed and 86 acceleration, which makes perfect sense because Love showcased his insane athleticism last season at Utah State. Additionally, Love has 90 throwing power, 81 deep ball accuracy, and only 65 awareness.

Nevertheless, EA Sports did a perfect job on rating Love for the most part. The Packers are hoping he can take over the team once Rodgers retires. However, that might not be in another couple of years, Rodgers is only 36 and has stated that he plans to plan until his 40s.

As for Rodgers, he isn't worried about Love taking over his starting job any time soon.

“What I can control is how I play and making that decision at some point a very hard one,” Rodgers told NBC Sports' Mike Florio. “If there comes a time when I feel like I can play at a high level and my body feels great, there are other guys that have gone on and played elsewhere.”
