The Green Bay Packers can't fix their leaky defense now — at least in terms of personnel — but they can come April. With an impressive crop of defenders ready to enter the NFL, the 2020 NFL Draft will offer the Packers a shot at getting another defensive playmaker on a rookie contract.

Who could that defensive playmaker be, though? According to Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports, he plays in Tuscaloosa. With the No. 27 selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Packers select Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker Dylan Moses, in Wilson's mock.

Here is what Wilson has to say about the pick:

“Moses suffered a torn ACL in August but he should be healthy in late spring/early summer. He was our No. 1 LB heading into the season and he'd fill a need in the middle of the Packers' young defense.”

As Wilson notes, Moses suffered a torn ACL in August. However, that will not stop the 6-foot-3, 235-pound linebacker from playing football in the NFL Week 1, for whoever drafts him.

Though a torn ACL is scary, Moses is an undeniable first-round talent. Heading into the college football season, most viewed the ‘Bama product as the best inside linebacker in football. In 2018, as a sophomore, Moses tallied 86 combined tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and a pass deflection.

The Packers have invested in their defense through the draft. In 2018, they took now-lockdown cornerback Jaire Alexander in the first round. In 2019, they took outside linebacker Rashan Gary and safety Darnell Savage in the first round. Moses' presence would round-out a scary talented young defensive core.
