After a dugout blowup that went viral between San Diego Padres superstars Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado, both addressed the matter and are ready to move forward.

Per ESPN, despite the drama and the media hype around the incident, Tatis Jr. is glad that it happened.

“It happened, it's part of baseball, it's a part this game brings out, especially when good players are trying to win and stuff is not going our way. At the end of the day, I'm glad it happened. I feel like that brings us stronger, when you go inside and talk about it and you analyze it and you just come together.”

As the Padres continue to float out of the playoff picture in the National League, the tensions finally boiled over. In the fiasco in the dugout, Machado was clearly heard yelling to Tatis Jr. multiple times, “It isn't about you.” There were of course some expletives tossed in as well.

The Padres started a crucial series against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night and after leading 4-1, they ended up losing 6-5.

On the other side of this skirmish in the Padres' dugout was Machado, who also responded to what happened while calling Tatis Jr. his “little brother.”

“We're always going to be together no matter what. We've got a lot of years here together moving forward. That's done and said. He's got to go. We've got to go as a team, as well. That's what we're going to try to reach in the next 13 days.”

The Padres are running out of time and need to figure it out fast if they want any shot of even making the wild card game in the NL.
