Julian Edelman has a message for the haters and doubters of the New England Patriots: “I wish you would.”

Just a few days after Patriots quarterback made the bizarre pronouncement that “everyone thinks we suck, and that we can't win any games” (uh, what?), Edelman upped the petty ante with an equally bizarre hype video he posted on Twitter.

No one is really sure why the video — which features the infamous Brady soundbite — was released, but experts say that the painting of the Patriots as the underdog of the Super Bowl season is falling on deaf ears. (As, perhaps, it should.)

But, Julian Edelman's bizarre video aside, there's some speculation that this is part of a bigger strategy: to get the Patriots “fired up” for the playoffs so they can take home the big ring.

Kansas City Chiefs head rusher Justin Houston said as much in a recent interview.

“I think [Brady's] just trying to get himself and everyone else fired up. But this is, what, their eighth year in the AFC Championship?”

But, as has been previously reported, our partners at BetOnline.AG doesn't have the Patriots as a favorite to win the Super Bowl this year. In fact, the Kansas City Chiefs are currently considered the favorite to take home the biggest prize in football. (As of this writing, the Patriots are currently positioned in the #3 position.)

It remains to be seen whether Julian Edelman and the other Patriots, will indeed take home another Super Bowl ring.
