New England Patriots fans were jumping up and down after the Super Bowl LIII champions managed to sign Antonio Brown. Brown is set to make an already-superb offense become even more terrifying for opposing defenses.

However, there may have been a possibility that the NFL would take a look into the way they acquired the wideout just hours after the team released the former Pittsburgh Steeler. But Pats fans can now breathe easy and look forward to seeing Brown in New England colors.

According to Peter King of NBC Sports, the league will not look into the circumstances that saw the former Central Michigan WR lash out on social media to force the team to waive him. However, he recounted that Brown's departure from the team was confirmed as deliberate.

The nature of Brown's departure from Oakland seems, at least in part, to be premeditated. ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Sunday that Brown sought the advice of social media experts on how to expedite his departure from the Raiders after being fined.

Brown's camp also had an answer to the speed of which the Pats got their new wide receiver.

Because agent Drew Rosenhaus was involved in trade discussions to get Brown out of Pittsburgh, he surely knew which suitors to contact upon his release from Oakland. King noted there was at least one other team aggressively pursuing Brown before he signed with the Patriots.

Of course, it will always be a risk to get a talented player that is as volatile as Brown. However, the Patriots can offer him a Super Bowl ring, and that can be the carrot that coerces him to work with the team.
