Many have wondered when New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft would step in to try and ensure that Tom Brady stays with the club, but apparently, that isn't going to happen.

According to Tom Curran of NBC Sports Boston, Kraft will not intercede in talks between Brady and head coach Bill Belichick, which serves as even more evidence that Brady could be on his way out of New England.

Curran notes that Kraft is allowing Belichick to decide the fate of the team and if a chasm exists between Brady and Belichick in contract negotiations, Kraft won't usurp Belichick's authority.

However, Kraft would encourage both parties to get a deal done if the gap was small.

Curran also added that Kraft understands that forcing Belichick to keep Brady could cause dysfunction.

Brady has spent the first 20 years of his NFL career with the Patriots, leading the franchise to six Super Bowl titles. He is set to hit unrestricted free agency on March 18, and clubs such as the Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers and Las Vegas Raiders are all said to be interested in his services.
