The BIG3, a professional basketball league featuring a good number of retired NBA stars, has gotten off to a promising start thus far. Players such as Allen Iverson, Charles Oakley, Mike Bibby, and *gasp* Brian Scalabrine are just some of the league's biggest names worth mentioning.

However, former NBA Finals MVP Paul Pierce suggested a very enticing proposition that'll surely send the BIG3 to new heights.

In a BIG3 in-game interview with Michael Rapaport (yes, the Michael Rapaport), Pierce gave nothing but praise for how the league and its players are doing a tremendous job, right before mentioning that he'll try to recruit none other than Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett to join him and quite possibly form a new “Big Three” of their own.

While Pierce's comment on forming a BIG3 lineup involving him, Bryant, and Garnett is nothing but a pipe dream right now, an alliance between these three greats is certainly going to boost the BIG3's viewership. It remains to be seen, though, if both Bryant and Garnett are willing to join forces together with The Truth and take the league by storm.

Still, one can't help but imagine now how well a three-man team featuring basketball legends with a combined seven NBA titles, 43 All-Star appearances, three Finals MVP awards, and two season MVP awards can still ball in their late-30s and early-40s.
