The Golden State Warriors have been the standard bearers in the NBA over the last four years with three titles in four trips to the NBA Finals over that span.
This has pushed every other team in the league to look up to the Warriors by building their roster to dethrone them each of the last three years. New Orleans Pelicans All-Star big man Anthony Davis voiced during an interview with Angel Diaz of Complex.com that the only way to beat Golden State is to play a perfect game.
The Warriors have become a well-rounded team on both ends of the floor even more so with All-Star forward Kevin Durant joining the mix over the last two seasons. Durant has now given them arguably the top three best shooters in the league that can each take over the game behind their scorer while they have remained a highly effective defensive team.
Golden State has potentially only become more potent offensively with the addition of All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins to the mix. Cousins may be recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, but he has a chance to be a major factor offensively if he's any bit the player he was prior to the injury that had established himself one of the best big men in the league.
It has all made for the Warriors to be an even greater offensive juggernaut next season that could dwindle that margin for error for teams like the Pelicans to dethrone them.
