New Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday has garnered plenty of attention this season as a potential trade target. Especially among the contending teams. The Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat are reportedly two teams interested in acquiring the two-way combo guard.

Reports claim that the Pelicans are unlikely to part ways with the former All-Star. Still, the Nuggets and the Heat should take their chances to acquire Holiday should the right deal come into place.
However, as mentioned by Charania, their best shot in doing so would need to be a steep price that they are willing to pay.
For the Heat, they would likely have to give up some of their young players such as Kendrick Nunn or Tyler Herro in any deal involving Holiday. Although personally, I would keep Herro off the table no matter what. They also have a number of veterans on friendly mid-tier deals between the $11-million to $15-million range that are easy to move.
As for the Nuggets, any deal that could interest the Pelicans will likely start with incumbent starting shooting guard Gary Harris. Not to mention their other young prospects and future assets.
As constructed, both teams are probably a piece or two away from being considered serious contenders for the title. Holiday's addition would certainly bolster their chances.
With both teams right in the thick of things, it makes sense for both teams to at least give it a shot.
