New Orleans guard Lonzo Ball had the performance of his career on Monday in a huge win over the Golden State Warriors. After Ball's career-high showing, teammate Zion Williamson revealed that Lonzo was actually locked in way before the game even tipped off.

According to Zion, Ball was totally motivated entering the Warriors matchup:

“Lonzo texted me last night after the game and (said) he was going to show up today, and his apologies on (Monday). Those were big words. He showed today what he's all about,” Zion shared, via Pelicans insider Jim Eichenhofer.

Ball came out the gates firing and he was clearly feeling it early on. In the first quarter of action, Lonzo had a bit of a heated exchange with Warriors star Draymond Green after the former hit a wide-open corner trey. Ball had a few things to say and unsurprisingly, Dray clapped back.

Lonzo was clearly on a mission on Monday and it resulted in the best game of his entire NBA career. The Pelicans stud finished with a career-high 33 points on 11-of-23 shooting, six rebounds, four assists, and a steal in 34 minutes of action. Ball also went 7-of-13 from distance and a perfect 4-of-4 from the line to round off his remarkable performance.

More importantly, Lonzo led the Pelicans to a 108-103 victory over the Warriors, thereby keeping their slim playoff hopes alive. It's going to be a tough road ahead for New Orleans though, and they will need to win as many games as they can in order to give themselves a shot at the play-in tournament.
