Bryson DeChambeau is preparing for this week's PGA Championship at Kiawah Island, but he's also rambling on about his love for aliens and UFOs.

The “Big Golfer” spoke extensively on extraterrestrials and unexplained aerial phenomena (UAPs) during a SiriusXM interview with Gary McCord and Drew Stoltz. He said he and a couple buddies believe they even saw flying objects during the pandemic last year.

It gets funkier.

DeChambeau went on to say there could be a “Tony Stark individual” pulling strings behind the scenes. He also suggested these unexplained phenomena could actually be future time travelers with advanced technology. The reigning U.S. Open champion even got all Interstellar with it by using the term “wormhole.”

Is DeChambeau more focused on winning the PGA Championship, or discovering the meaning of life?

That's a joke, of course, but it comes as little surprise the former SMU product has such a vested interest in extraterrestrial activity.

DeChambeau has always taken a scientific approach to the game of golf, whether with his revolutionary length and driving distance or on and around the greens. Whether that approach helps him win his first PGA Championship remains to be seen.

The length will certainly be useful. The Ocean Course at Kiawah will play as the longest course in major championship history. DeChambeau's prodigious distances helped him conquer the field at Winged Foot last summer, and he might be able to invoke a similar strategy to capture the Wanamaker Trophy this weekend.

Or, maybe DeChambeau can enlist help from his otherworldly friends.
