The new NBA 2K season is almost upon us, and fans are already talking about the new overall ratings of the players. Recently, Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin was handed his rating for the 2019 version of the game and it proved to be lower than usual. Bleacher Report posted a screenshot of his teammate Andre Drummond's reaction to the 2011 Slam Dunk champion's new rating.

Along with most fans, Drummond has expressed his disapproval of Griffin's lowered rating. Griffin was included in talks for the MVP award early last season when he averaged 22.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game for the L.A. Clippers before the team shipped him to the Pistons.

Right after the trade, the Motor City fans were excited about how the Griffin-Drummond duo will wreak havoc on the frontcourt. But Griffin's individual numbers dipped as on-court chemistry with his new team became an issue.

Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated explained how Griffin found it hard to adjust to the Pistons' system.

“Watching Griffin, it’s obvious he’s not the same player he was in Los Angeles even just earlier this season. Whether it’s system or motivation, the Detroit version of Griffin too often floats on the perimeter on offense, waiting a little bit too much for the game to come to him instead of taking control of the action. Without a top flight point guard in Chris Paul or the big-to-big chemistry he had with DeAndre Jordan, Griffin’s offense has suffered.”

But with the Pistons hiring 2018 Coach of the Year Dwane Casey, Griffin will look to get back to his old dominating self and establish a strong frontcourt connection with Drummond.
