Despite being one of the Detroit Pistons' best players this season, veteran guard Derrick Rose believes he has been playing terrible.

“I think I’ve been playing terrible. Just my turnovers have been (bad), having 4 or 5 a game. I just look at that differently, especially being a PG and being back in that position,” Rose said, per Rod Beard of The Detroit News.

In his first three games with the Pistons, Rose has posted averages of 25.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists. Unfortunately, his impressive play hasn't been enough to get them a single win in those three contests.

Rose is only averaging 2.3 turnovers per game, but he had six in the Pistons' 117-111 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The former league MVP has been playing great since last season with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Rose has successfully rejuvenated his career, and he is poised to make the Eastern Conference All-Star team if he continues to put up at least 25 points a game.

However, Detroit has plans to compete for a playoff spot this season, and if they can't get wins this early, these close defeats might come back to haunt them in the end.

The Pistons are still without Blake Griffin, who's still sidelined with an injury. Rose, Andre Drummond and Luke Kennard have all been stepping up in his absence. Once the All-Star forward is back in the rotation, Detroit should play a lot better.

For now, Rose will have to get better at taking care of the basketball if he wants the Pistons to start winning.
