The Detroit Pistons continue to make moves in the offseason. They drafted Cade Cunningham with the top pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and then agreed to bring Iowa standout Luka Garza in on a two-way deal.
Now, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Pistons have signed Hamidou Diallo to a new deal, worth $10.4 million.
Restricted free agent G/F Hamidou Diallo has signed a two-year, $10.4M deal to stay with the Detroit Pistons, his agents Thad Foucher and Joe Smith of @Wassbasketball tell ESPN.

The Pistons young squad gets yet another boost. They acquired Diallo in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the middle of the 2020-2021 season and played well for the Pistons.
Diallo, 23, averaged 11 points and 5 rebounds with the Pistons after a mid-season trade from the Thunder.

Diallo for that size of a contract is a steal for Detroit, especially for a guy that can really improve and has the perfect chance to play big minutes on one of the younger teams in the NBA.
The former Kentucky Wildcat pushes the Pistons roster to 16, meaning somebody is heading out before the season begins. With Killian Hayes, Jerami Grant, Cunningham, and Saddiq Bey, among others, the Pistons young core should be a scary one in a couple of seasons.
Diallo got paid and can relax for a bit with over $10 million coming his way. He is only 23 years old, and he should continue to grow and thrive in the NBA for a nice young team.
