Reggie Jackson says he hasn't thought about getting a buyout from the Detroit Pistons.

After the Pistons traded All-Star center Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, reports surfaced that Jackson is pondering whether to pursue a buyout or finish his contract.

The 29-year-old guard is starting for the Pistons at the moment since Derrick Rose is injured.

Jackson becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season ends. It’s pretty doubtful he re-signs with the Pistons since the franchise loves Rose and has Bruce Brown to develop.

The Boston College product came into Friday having played in only 10 games for the Pistons this season because of a back injury. He’s averaging 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists while shooting 37.5 percent from the field, 40.4 percent from beyond the arc and 78.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Jackson and the Pistons lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday in Detroit's first game in the post-Drummond era. Reggie put up 28 points in 33 minutes, but the Motor City team fell by a final count of 108-101.

The Pistons are now 19-35 on the season after losing to OKC. They face the New York Knicks on Saturday, with Jackson expected to start again since Rose has already been ruled out.

For his career, Reggie Jackson averages 12.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists.
