Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is on track to play in Saturday's Wild Card showdown with the Seattle Seahawks.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the Rams have activated Kupp from the reserve/COVID-19 list. He will be available so long as he avoids further setbacks.

Kupp's return is a massive boon for the Rams in what could be something of a defensive showdown.

The 27-year-old missed the team's Week 17 win over the Arizona Cardinals, but has been one of the team's best offensive playmakers all year. Kupp finished the year with 92 catches for 974 yards in his 15 appearances. He was also one of the lone bright spots for the Rams in a Week 16 loss to the Seahawks, notching eight catches for 66 yards.

Los Angeles has had a hard time moving the ball through the air in recent weeks, and Jared Goff has struggled. Goff threw for no more than 234 yards and also tossed an interception in all three contests between Week 14 and Week 16, with two of those games resulting in losses. His highest quarterback rating during that three-game stretch was 89.0.

Goff did not play in Week 17 due to a dislocated and fractured right thumb, and it is unknown whether he will be available on Saturday. But whether it's he or John Wolford under center, the Rams and Sean McVay can feel at least a little more comfortable having a receiver like Kupp back on the field.

Seattle and L.A. split the regular season series, and both games were low-scoring affairs. Football fans could be in store for another chess match on Saturday.
