After his blockbuster trade to the Los Angeles Rams, All-Pro defensive back Jalen Ramsey is hoping to play for his new team as soon as possible.

Ramsey was out for his former team for the last two weeks because of back concerns. But now, he's back and practiced fully ahead of Week 7.

“I felt like it went well,” Ramsey said per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN. “Of course I'm still getting back into it, getting into a groove, but I felt like it went well overall.”

Ramsey remains unsure about his status for Week 7, but he remains hopeful he can make his Rams debut on Sunday.

“I think we going to keep working, we got a couple more days to figure it out,” Ramsey said. “We gonna do what's smart for myself and the team, but I hope so. I hope I can go help and contribute to a win, somehow, some way, whether it's limited, or whatever. A couple plays, it don't matter.”

Another person that's hopeful for Ramsey to play right away is head coach Sean McVay. But he's aware of making sure that they don't rush the 24-year-old defensive back.

“The goal is to be able to do that, but we'll be smart about it. I think that we definitely want to have the intent to get him ready to go and we'll always make smart decisions. But, yes, that's the goal.”

Both sides want to see the newest addition to the team playing right away. However, they need to take their time to make sure Ramsey is ready to go.
