Jalen Ramsey of the Rams might know that many star players will hold out from training camp in the hopes of getting an extension from their respective teams. We've seen it in recent years from players like Melvin Gordon, Ezekiel Elliot and Jadaveon Clowney.

However, Los Angeles Rams superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey will not be one of those players. According to Rams staff writer Stu Jackson, the three-time Pro Bowler is willing to come to camp without an extension.

“The Rams know where I stand, and I think that's all that matters at the end of the day. It'll get handled. They've been in contact with my agent, they're on the same page as my agent.”

Ramsey joined the Rams in the middle of last season after being traded from the Jacksonville Jaguars for first-round picks in 2020 and 2021 as well as a 2021 fourth-round pick.

In nine games with the Rams, Ramsey was able to demonstrate his value as one of the best cornerbacks in the league today, The former No. 5 overall selection made eight starts in nine games recording 33 tackles, four passes defended, one forced fumbles and one interception.

Despite the addition of Ramsey, the Rams would go 9-7 and miss the playoffs one season after making a Super Bowl appearance including a 5-4 record in games that Ramsey played.

With Ramsey only under contract through next season, the clock is ticking for the Rams to reach a deal with their new star. Having already made three Pro Bowls and the All-Pro First Team in 2017, the 25-year-old defensive back will surely sign a large deal that will make him one of the highest-paid players at his position in the NFL with the Rams.
