Los Angeles Rams starting quarterback Jared Goff has partnered up with Genesis of Glendale en route to donating $1,000 for every touchdown pass thrown over the course of the 2019-20 campaign. The joint effort will notably support California Strong (CA Strong), an organization that previously launched after wildfires blazed through both Southern and Northern California back in November 2018.

“I am proud to provide season-long support for CA Strong to assist families in need following a crisis,” Goff recently said, via the team's official website. “While handing out grants to families following the Woolsey and Hill fires, I witnessed firsthand the impact CA Strong is having on those in need. I am committed to CA Strong and its mission.”

As it stands today, California Strong has raised just under $2.2 million for over 650 families while its aim is to financially assist those affected by major disasters in California as quickly as possible.

“With the support of professional athletes, actors, musicians and the public, we seek to promote a united front as we support countless people rebuild and thrive,” said Ronnie Stone, CEO of the Southwest Ventura County YMCA, which serves Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Agoura Hills, Moorpark and Simi Valley. “When tragedy strikes anywhere in California, California Strong will be there to lend support.”

The Rams are currently 2-0 while Goff will surely encounter endless opportunities to throw touchdown passes once again this season. Thus far, the Rams have defeated the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints with Goff throwing a pair of touchdowns.
