Los Angeles Rams cornerback Marcus Peters had an interesting comparison for his team when asked about the Rams' offseason splurge that saw them add him, Aqib Talib, and Ndamukong Suh.

“What happened with Golden State brought in all those people?” said Peters, referring to the NBA's Golden State Warriors, via Brooke Pryor of The Kansas City Star.

The reporter who asked the question said that it “worked” for the Warriors, to which Peters replied.

“Alright, cool,” Peters said. “So what’s the difference between them bringing in guys and us bringing in guys?”

Peters himself was traded to the Rams from the Kansas City Chiefs during the offseason, and Peters said that the change has done him some good.

“A change of scenery is always good sometimes,” Peters said. “I guess it just wasn’t working in KC. It was just time to move on. . . .I got a chance to be closer to home and take full advantage of your opportunities. When you come into a great organization with a great head coach, great G.M., great owner and just the whole organization how everything’s run so smoothly, you respect it and you want to be a part of their things.”

The 26-year-old has had an up-and-down first year in Los Angeles, sometimes struggling in coverage against better receivers. On the season overall, Peters recorded 43 tackles, three interceptions, eight passes defended, and a defensive touchdown.

While Peters has still been solid, the campaign he has had is a far cry from his first three years in the league with the Chiefs, where he made two Pro Bowls and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection.
