The Los Angeles Rams are putting their undefeated 3-0 record on the line Thursday night against the Minnesota Vikings, though, their defense isn’t at 100 percent strength. Rams cornerback Aqib Talib has been recently placed on the injured reserve, while another corner, Marcus Peters, is still uncertain whether he can give it a go hours before the Minnesota game.

Peters, however, is reportedly is willing to play and has even expressed his intent to be on the field to his coaches, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

After testing his calf injury pregame, Rams’ CB Marcus Peters is telling the coaches that he wants to play tonight vs Vikings, per source.

Marcus Peters sustained a hamstring injury during Week 3’s 35-23 win at home over the Los Angeles Chargers. He was forced to exit the game and was not able to return.

It was previously reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network that Peters will be out for at least two weeks, but a recent update by Schefter suggests that the cornerback will be on the field hounding Minnesota receivers later tonight.

Peters was a shiny free agent acquisition by the Rams over the summer. The Rams got Peters and a draft pick via a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a pair of future picks

With Peters on their secondary, the Rams have managed to rank sixth in the league so far this season with only 199.3 passing yards allowed per contest.
