All the talk from the Los Angeles Rams and the New Orleans Saints game is about the missed pass interference call, but head coach Sean McVay wants to point out that there was also a facemask call missed on Jared Goff that could have changed the outcome of the game.

“When you slow it down, clearly you can see some of the things that took place. If you want to do that on every single play, though, there’s a lot of instances. You want to slow some things down with a facemask on Goff, some different things,” McVay said via Pro Football Talk. “What we try to do a good job of understanding is that it is an imperfect game.”

The call got so much attention because of the time of the game, but McVay does have a good point, the officiating miss a ton of calls every game. A missed call early in the game that costs a team a chance at points is just as important as a call late in the game.

Even with the Rams heading to the Super Bowl now, there is going to be a cloud over it with the missed call which is probably why multiple players and coaches are coming out and talking about it was more than just a missed call that cost the Saints a game.

The attention for the Rams now needs to switch from that missed call to the New England Patriots as the Super Bowl is now less than two weeks away.
