Todd Gurley and the Los Angeles Rams made a lot of fantasy football players and bettors mad on Sunday afternoon. In the final minute of the Rams victory over the Green Bay Packers, Gurley was running towards the end zone but went down before reaching the goal line on purpose.

The Packers had no timeouts left and coming down in bounds allowed the Rams to run out the clock. If Gurley had gone into the end zone the Packers would have had to get the ball back, but it also would have allowed the Rams to cover the spread and the game would have gone over the total.

Gurley isn't too concerned about what the fans think because the Rams were able to get the victory which is most important for him.

“Man, forget fantasy and forget Vegas,” Gurley said after the game via ESPN. “We got the win, so that's all that matters.”

It was mixed reviews from the sportsbook in Vegas with some of the books happy with the decisions, and others frustrated.

“We needed him to score in the worst way,” Nick Bogdanovich, director of trading for William Hill U.S., told ESPN in a text message.

“If Gurley goes in there,” a Caesars Palace sportsbook manager said, “we lose a ton of teasers, get middled on the game, and the over crushes us. We're fans of his smart play.”

With the victory, the Rams move to 8-0 on the season but the schedule only gets more difficult. In the next three weeks, they play the New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, and the Kansas City Chiefs and we should have a real good understanding how good this team actually is.
